Collet is ready-made setting which is already set in 18k gold with special cut diamonds as per their shape. It is made by our experienced artisan’s using our Illusion setting so that it will look like a solitaire, which can be directly set in your jewellery with just laser shouldering process.

It is extremely difficult to make collet, we have to take care of many corners & set with a precision that it will not break. It has the highest chance of breakage if done by someone who is not a specialist for it. That is why we give an option to our customers to buy collets from us so all the difficult process to make it will be handled by us. So it will be easy for you to set in any Jewellery.

It is set with special setting technique so it does not have any gap, metal & prong between ILLUSION DIAMONDS. Because of this, there will not be any dust collection on this ILLUSION DIAMONDS so it will look like a solitaire diamond forever. It looks very close to the solitaire diamond compared to pressure or invisible setting. When you make the invisible settings of greater than 2 carat look, it will show clearly that it is a cluster of small pieces. However, in ILLUSION SETTING it will look like a solitaire even in 3cts, 5cts or even bigger than that look.

There is not a big price difference. Maximum this ILLUSION SETTING is 20-25% more expensive depending on the shape and because of similarity between solitaires.

(3) We have to match exact colour & clarity of all 9 Diamonds to make 1 piece of ILLUSION EMERALD COLLET so it looks exactly like a solitaire. Bigger quantity rough diamonds is bought to match the exact colour and clarity & all the extra pieces of lower colour and clarity are sold at lower prices.
(4) Setting this 9 diamonds is the most difficult process which have to be made from our expert craftsmen only. We have to pay very high labour for their skills.
(5) There are 32 Corners to be taken care of to make 1 Piece of ILLUSION EMERALD shape, which is not easy to make flawlessly. Therefore, we have to bear breakage of around 10-15% despite having the best artisans.
After all, above Factors this SPECIAL ILLUSION JEWELLERY deserves more prices than normal settings as more efforts are required to make it. Still it will be around 80 % to 90% less expensive compared to Solitaire Diamond Jewellery.

(1) BREAKAGE: This is most difficult part in this process as we are setting 9 Pieces without GAP or GOLD on the face & we have to take care of 32 corners which makes around 10% to 15% breakage while we make our ILLUSION DIAMONDS.

(2) WASTAGE: Wastage to cut these diamonds from rough is around 20% to 25% as we have to match each & every pieces with diameter, colour & clarity so it look like 1 piece Solitaire.

(3) LABOUR: we have to pay double labour on these 9 pieces Emerald instead on 1 piece if it is Solitaire. Once while cutting each diamonds & 2nd while setting each diamonds which will be minimum of 15000 Rs. per carat.
- 771.12 US $ - 200 US $ = 571.12 US $
(4) DIAMOND COST & OUR GROSS PROFIT: This approximately 571.12 US $ per carat is actually, what we get in our hand, which includes rough diamond cost & our gross profit.
